AOL Gives AOL Prizes At 15th Webby Awards: Photos

THE Webby awards bestow prizes on the best virals and brands  on the Internet. They will place what you like into a hierarchy that page views alone cannot satisfy. The freedoms of the internet is sponsored by the likes of AOL, Microsoft and Google.

The best writing prize was won by that upstart breakthrough act The New Yorker. It beat the ruby-cheeked likes of the New York Times, The Economist and Wired. The best blog business was won by… AOL and the Huffington Post, owned by… AOL.The best consumer electronics blog was won by Engadget – owned by… AOL. Google has the best corporate communication blog.

In between the big corporations giving themselves awards, we spotted Martin Cooper, inventor of the cellular phone, holding a massive brick, Angry Birds creator Peter Vesterbacka, Anna Wintour, Daniel Radcliffe, Antoine Dodson and Lisa Kudrow, the only Friends star not to have turned into the character they played…
