Drunk Captain Drove Rescued Sailors Around In Circles For Hours And Hours
TO South Florida, where Timothy Pooler, 63, of Boynton Beach, has rescued two men whose boat had broken down about 25 miles off Delray Beach on Thursday evening. The men had been adrift for around four hours when Pooler arrived to save the day. He hooked up their boat to his and began to tow them. And tow them. And tow them. In circles. Throughout the night. In circles.
When Pooler’s boat ran out of gas, the two men provided fuel from their own boat. The men then got their boat to work and began to tow Pooler, whose boat ran out of fuel again. They then cut Pooler loose.
The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission officers arried and arrested Pooler for driving under the influence.
What the moral of this story is, we are unsure about. There might not even be one.
