The Liverpool Echo ran a contest inviting readers to come up with their dream headline. What would be the best headline they could ever read? Ever. In the whole world. In the entire history of humankind. What would be the No.1 headline?
The headline was picked as the winner because it was “a headline that everyone would want to see”. It is “succinct but emotive”.
The winner won a bottle of champagne and a framed, full size copy of her front page.
So. At last Our Maddie didn’t vanish in vain, then…
