Amy Winehouse Shrine Photos: Fans Tributes In Cans, Fags And A Bottle Of Malibu
AMY Winehouse’s body was picked up by the Floyd & Sons Funeral directors and taken from her Camden Square home.
In the London Square are two shrines to Winehouse. One is clean and floral – although whoever thought it was fitting to mark Winehouse’s passing with a teddy might question the relevance (we suggest pulling its head off and looking inside).
The other shrine consists of glasses of wine, unlit salmons (forgive us the local parlance; Winehouse’s death is also a local matter), half-smoked fags (some still burning have been shoved between the black railings), a bottle of coke (empty), a bottle of Malibu (sampled), beer cans, two massive refers, a line of cocaine, a tin of Vitamalt, the word “BLAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAKE” daubed in maker pen, tea lights and the feeling that – although not all of that list is true – a rare talent has been lost.
Amy Winehouse was one of ours. Now she’s gone, you realise what a terrific talent she was. The only person she ever harmed was herself – the rest to us stood in line waiting to be entertained…
