Virginia And Washington Earthquake In Photos: DC Is Under Attack
ON the day an earthquake hit the Washington area – a 5.9 magnitude earthquake centered in Virginia – Hapless Joe Biden was in Japan…strolling through the March 11 earthquake and tsunami stricken area full of weeds in Natori, Miyagi Prefecture. Obama was playing golf in golf at Farm Neck Golf Club, in Oak Bluffs, Mass., on the island of Martha’s Vineyard…
And Anorak reader writes from Virginia:
We all read about earthquakes and the catastrophes from them. However, many of us have never experienced an earthquake or even how one is suppose to feel when it starts to happen.
I had my first experience with an earthquake today living in No. VA where it hit hard. I was sitting at my computer and all of a sudden I heard a loud noise and my house started shaking and moving all around me and I didn’t know what was going and I was scared. My dogs went crazy running around and my bird was flapping madly around his cage and I got up from my chair and couldn’t even walk to the door the house was moving so. Two thoughts went through my mind – a gas line blew outside and the house would go up in flames or DC was under direct attack, as I live close enough to DC that I would feel any effects from bombs going off.
We have been receiving news warnings there could be after shocks hitting some time this evening.
Say it ain’t so, Joe:
