Woman Buys iPad: Gets Piece Of Wood Painted Black With An Apple Logo
ASHELY McDowell, 22, bought an iPad that turned out to be a “piece of wood painted black with an Apple logo”. The South Carolina woman purchased the iPlank off two black males selling the gadgets for $300 apiece in a McDonald’s parking lot. One of the men had a gold tooth.
(We know what you’re-thinking – you too would buy the goods in a portaloo on the third day of Glastonbury so long as it spared you the agonies of a trip to those headshrinkers in the Apple store.)
McDowell only has $180. But she was the vendors’ best looking customer so they gave her a reduced rate…
Surpose and delight, readers – it’s the marketing man’s mantra.
