Bristol Man Has Toe For A Thumb
BRISTOL man James Byrne has a big toe stitched onto his hand.
He cut off his thumb in an accident while sawing wood.
Attempts to reattach the thumb failed. But he really needed a thumb to work as paver.
So. Plastic surgeons at Frenchay Hospital transplanted his left big toe to his hand.
The 29-year-old says he feels “really really lucky”.
Of course, what we want to know is where he got the toe from – and what can be used to replace it..?
