Madeleine McCann: Trolls Attack 15-Year-Old Ms Osteoporosis
MADELEINE McCann: In “Blogs blast girl’s hunter”, we encounter Amanda Oosterbaan, 15. She has been hurt by unkind words posted on the official “find Madeleine McCann” Facebook page.
Australia’s Northern Territories News reports:
A TOP End middle school student has been labelled a “lazy housewife” for her continued support of missing British girl Madeleine McCann.
Ouch!
One blogger posted: “Each time I write out her name, I think of the Joan Collins character in Dynasty. And before you get your pantaloons in a twist, Ms Osteoporosis, I mean that your name goes on and on for ever – not that you’ve had 20 husbands – indeed, not that I imagine you spend enough time away from your laptop to have ONE husband.”
Ms Osteoporosis… Not funny. No. Not funny at all:
The blogger was informed of Amanda’s age, but reportedly refuses to remove the post.
Blimey! Call the papers.
Says Amanda:
“They were having a go at me, and calling me names. When one of the groups doing it mentioned I was underage, they stopped publishing my last name. Then this blogger had a good go.”
The story is equipped with a section called “YOUR SAY”:
“Valiant Girl! I like reading about a good teenager who cares enough to try and make a difference. Those who would criticize sound like the dregs of our society out to harm and bring down others because they can’t face their own filthy consciences. Happy to read of you Amanda! Restores a bit of my faith in people. Truth is there are a group of people out there who have fabricated “facts”, twisted and distorted semi-truths, all to create a horribly and bizarrely off base tale of what happened.”
