Mariah Carey hogs illness limelight of ailing husband Nick Cannon
THE shock of Mariah Carey being seen in hospital was one thing, but what really surprised us was that she was so willing to bask in the reflected glory of her ailing husband, TV presenter Nick Cannon. That’s right, while Nick lay there looking half dead in his woollen hat (nope, no idea either), Mariah sidled up to him on the bed for a quick photo to share with twitter.
And according to Mariah, he’s suffered kidney failure.
She tweeted: ‘Please pray for Nick as he’s fighting to recover from a mild kidney failure.’
Mild kidney failure? Is that code for ‘urinal disease’ or something? Has he basically got cystitis? Either way, Mariah is making a big deal of it and wants us all to pray. That’s a bit like keeping your fingers cross for an end to famine.
She wrote: ‘This is us in the hospital – role reversal; Last year it was me attached to the machines (after having dembabies) and Nick was there with me through it, and now here we are.
‘We’re trying to be as festive as possible under the circumstances but please keep Nick in your thoughts because this is very painful.’
She went on: ‘We’re doing OK but we’re “straaaaaanded in Aspen”. #DramaticDivaPlace (I know, we could be in a lot worse places) but the truth is as long as we’re together, we’re OK. I’m not trying to make light out of the situation because it’s a serious moment that’s very tough on all of us so please keep us and our family in your prayers.’
We’re too busy praying for your children – Moroccan and Monroe – because, when they start school, they’re going to be brutally bullied for their ludicrous names.
