Mug shot of the day: Leon Ward ‘hid’ a 10-inch barrel revolver up his anus
MUG Shot of the day features the face of Michael Leon Ward, 22, who after being arrested for speeding and possession of marijuana was found to have a 10-inch .38 barrel revolver secreted up his anus.
Leon Ward resisted arrest. He was brought to heel with the aid of a stun gun.
Back at the station, Georgia police discovered that Ward was on the run from a murder warrant out of Atlanta. Police at Onslow County jail note that Ward asked for help. He claimed to have found a gun in his cell. Bug there had bene no gun in the cell before Ward was locked up. Moreover, he had been “strip searched prior to being booked into a cell block”.
Police concluded that the big gun was hidden inside Ward’s rectuim.
Ward was duly sent to a local hospital “for possible injuries that may have occurred to Ward’s rectum”.
The gun was found to be fully functioning.
Ward is now banged up. Literally…
