Leicester man fined for driving with four children in the boot

by | 27th, January 2012

HOW many people can you fit into a moving Audi A4 saloon. Zoltan Lakatos managed 11: six children (including the four in the boot), and three adults. In freer times, Mr Lakatos might be a record breaker, offering a continental take on the age-old ‘How Many People Can You Fit Into A Great British Mini’ challenge. Now, he is only a rule breaker. Leicester magistrates have banned Mr Lakatos from driving and ordered him to pay £1,325 in costs and fines.

Lakatos, 38, told police, through a Hungarian interpreter:

“It doesn’t matter, they are only children.”

Mr Lakatos was also found guilty in his absence of not having any insurance.

One wonders if the fine will encourage the family man to get a quote?
