England sign Spurs boss Redknapp for £64m – and rising
HOW much will is cost the FA to persuade Tottenham Hotspurs to let Harry Rednapp become the next England manager / saviour? The newspapers know:
“FA FACE £15M BILL TO LAND HARRY REDKNAPP” – Daily Star
“The cost of appointing Harry Redknapp as England manager will exceed £10million – before the FA pay him a penny in wages” – Daily Mail.
“FA chiefs will have to pay Spurs £5million to make Harry Redknapp the next England boss” – Daily Mirror
“It would cost them about £4million in compensation to Spurs to get Redknapp” – Daily Express.
All topped by The People, whose winning bid is…£30m.
The less ‘Arry says the more he’s worth. Best to let other do the negotiating for him:
“With Harry, two plus two always makes five, not three. Harry sees the whole picture.” So says Milan Mandaric in The Guardian.
