An ‘Unlawful Arrest’ In Essex – the oddest video you will see this year

WHAT’S going on here? Karen spots a video of a woman from Essex being arrested for allegedly breaking the speed limit. What follows is odd, worrying, priceless and could pass for a parody. Using the name halloweenpropsuk, she has posted this video of her lament.

The comments on YouTube add to the oddness with more than a dash of humour. The pick of which are:

Please could you explain why you believe traffic offences come under Admiralty Law? I’m genuinely interested in the details of this. I am also interested in any explanation you can give me as to why only Common Law offences would apply to you – allisonstella 1 day ago 20 

The Magna Carta 1215 has mostly been rescinded in favour of Acts of Parliament, many of which are rooted in the Common Law, but some of which are not. The main section that remains that is relevant to you is the right to due process of law, which is what you are experiencing now with arrest and court appearance. I have a law degree. Please explain the Admiraly Law relevance as I don’t understand it yet. Thanks – allisonstella
