SUMMER’S here! There’s been widespread flooding in the Lancashire towns of Croston and Darwen, and around Hebden Bridge, West Yorkshire. The rain has been torrential downpours. More than a month’s worth of rain fell in 24 hours. Phew! Flaminh June is here:

Floodwaters surrounds local shops in the centre of Mytholmroyd near Huddersfield, West Yorkshire, after torrential downpours brought flooding to swathes of northern England, forcing people to leave their homes as more than a month's worth of rain fell in 24 hours.
