Spanx for men are just back-to-front Y-fronts
ONE highlight of last week was the arrival of Spanx for men, heralded in the Daily Mail as the man knickers that “enhance the derrière’s natural roundness, and adds extra support in all the vital places.” Italian undies outfit D.HEDRAL commends to our attentions the “angle fit” technology, which took three years to perfect. Anorak is aghast.
We recall that these underwear enhancers were invented many moons ago in the school changing rooms at Harrow Recreation Ground, when young master Peplow accidentally pulled on the Y-fronts of the slimmer figured master master Turner and wore them back to front. what next for garment science – the inside-out vest; the odd socks; the asymmetric bottomed short, which always leaves one button hole spare…?
