Port Talbot’s Daniel Thomas dreams of Tom Daley having homoerotic sex (allegedly)
PORT Talbot footballer Daniel Thomas watches Tom Daley and Pete Waterfield finish in 4th place at the London 2012 Olympics and issues a homoerotic tweet. A light is shone into what Thomas thinks happens after a match:
“if there is any consolation for finishing fourth atleast daley and waterfield can go bum eachother”
It’s reported, Thomas has been the victim of a prank. As Port Talbot announce:
“Port Talbot Town Football Club can confirm Daniel Thomas has been suspended from all involvement with the club until we have carried out a full internal investigation. We were made aware to an offensive comment appearing on the Twitter feed of one of our players. Upon being informed of the matter, we immediately distanced ourselves from any offensive messages whilst investigating the matter further. Having spoken at length to the player in question, we believe he regrettably left his phone unattended and was the victim of a very misguided ‘prank’.”
The old lost phone disaster, eh. (See Max Clifford tips.) Thomas, 28, may be forced to surrender the name of that prankster. Port Talbot chairman Andrew Edwards reveals that Thomas has been arrested:
“He [Mr Thomas] was called in by police and arrested yesterday [Wednesday] and is on conditional bail. It will be some time next week so, pending the police investigation, he’s still under suspension. We’ve taken legal advice and, when the police inquiry is concluded, we will deal with it from then.”
