Oxford’s biggest idiot jailed for robbery (video)
IDIOT of the day is James Allan, who attempted to rob Martin’s newsagent in Northcourt Road, Abingdon, Oxfordshire.
He’d robbed the place 10 days earlier.
This time he was armed with a toy gun. The cashier handed over £134.98 taken from the till. Allan then removed his balaclava. The camera recorded his face. He then began to getaway, wrestling with the one-way door. He pushed and her pushed but it would not open. He kicked it. Shop manager Angela Croke then stepped forward, pulling the door open.
Three hours later police spotted Allan on the road outside, the balaclava secreted in his jacket pocket. He cried before telling officers: “I’m sorry, it’s not fair on them – are they all right?”
In court, Allan has been jailed for three years at Oxford Crown Court. His chances of escape from prison are less than nil.
