The Sun spots trolls talking about ‘fat’ Adele and her son
THE Sun leads with news that “TROLLS TARGET MUM ADELE”.
The Sun, which for 26 years said Liverpool fans had urinated on the dead at Hillsborough, is upset that “SICK trolls” have made “revolting jibes about KILLING her tiny son”.
The boy is newborn. The Sun’s emphasise on the child’s size appears to be in reaction to a troll who posted on twitter. A Vanessa Bieber (possibly not her real name) told her 4,000 followers:
“Aw Adele gave birth to a baby. Is it fat and handicapped lol? Just murder it already lol.”
No. He’s tiny. If he were massively fat the Sun would get it agony aunt and diet expert to offer tips on losing the weight.
Dozens more trolls mocked the London pop sensation about her size. Many retweeted the crass comment: “Adele was pregnant? I thought she was fat.”
Another troll notes:
“I see Adele has given birth to a boy. If she randomly picks my baby name I may have to kill her.”
What to make of it? Well, thankfully we hear from an expert, Siobhan Freegard of parenting website Netmums:
“What’s wrong with these people? This deliberate bile is disgusting.”
If deliebrate bile were not disguting. we’d all be shafted and have to look for other ways to cause offence.
But thanks to the Sun, such tweets are big news.
ADELE. ADELE!!! ADELE!!!! Alright, love. Chances are that your enjoying being with your nipper and missed what some arsehat said about your baby on Twitter but the Sun’s made it front-page news. Look. It’s all about you being fat.
