Photos of people enjoying Superstorm Sandy (Edi And The Wolf is open)
NOT everyone hated Superstorm Sandy. Some loved the waves and the flood waters. They took the winds full in the face. In New York, diners at Edi in the Wolf (102 Avenue C, New York) came to scarf lager and eat schnitzels as the storm slapped the city. Scaffolding meant that the restaurant was open at the front. As one tweet went: “Goulasch #hurricanesandy party @ Edi & the Wolf. Open at 4pm, drink now and drown later! cc: @baltzco” Here are photos of they who enjoyed the Superstorm:

Residents of the neighborhood were ordered to evacuate because of the storm surge expected from the hurricane. Authorities warned that New York City and Long Island could get the worst of the storm surge: an 11-foot onslaught of seawater that could swamp lower areas of the city. (AP Photo/Bebeto Matthews)
