Boy who ‘flatulated with happiness’ cursed to blow up like a balloon
TO Ghana, where Charles Roji, 12, says he’s been cursed to swell up like a balloon.
Roji says his troubles began when he “broke wind with happiness“. He did so as woman was walking past. She cursed him. As he tells it:
“One day when we were playing soccer and I scored a goal, I was so happy that I flatulated, just when the woman got there. The woman, who was speaking Gonja, got very angry when my friends started teasing me that I had flatulated against the woman. I got afraid when the woman started talking angrily while my friends continued to tease me … I have been swollen for almost one year.”
Expert advice has been sought. The experts agree that the curse will only be broken if Roji apologises to the woman.
