Why did Norfolk Council leader Keith Johnson kill himself and his wife?
THE BBC reports that Keith Johnson, 58, leader of North Norfolk District Council, murdered his wife Andrea, 44, and then shot himself at their home in Compit Hills, Cromer.
Mr Johnson was once mayor of Cromer. He became Conservative leader of North Norfolk District Council in May 2012.
Norfolk council cabinet member Trevor Ivory says:
“Keith was a great man – a larger than life character. He wasn’t just respected but I think loved by officers and councillors alike, and by the people of Cromer and north Norfolk.”
