It’s a Super Mario world!
It’s a Super Mario world!
IN one form or another, he’s been with us for over 30 years now. But with a whole range of great Super Mario games available on Nintendo 3DS, Nintendo 3DS XL and the fabulous new Wii U console, it seems Mario isn’t going away anytime soon.
He’s saved the princess in countless adventure games, competed with friends (and enemies) in racing games like Mario Kart 7 and taken part in all sorts of sporting events – but what’s he been up to most recently? Here’s a look at three great Mario titles that are available now.
The best of Wii U in New Super Mario Bros. U
The arrival of Wii U provides the perfect opportunity for New Super Mario Bros .U to show off what the new home console can do. Using the Wii U GamePad and additional Nintendo Wii Remotes, up to five players can join in the action, while solo play became much more flexible thanks to the integrated touch screen of the new controller. When playing alone, the Wii U GamePad and TV show the same view, so you can easily switch the action to your Wii U GamePad when the TV is in use.
A solid gold challenge in New Super Mario Bros. 2
When it comes to Nintendo 3DS XL and Nintendo 3DS games, New Super Mario Bros. 2 has loads to offer. With more than 80 stages to play, there is challenge enough to keep you playing for ages, but there’s now even more to aim for with the chance to collect up to one million coins for the first time ever. As if that wasn’t enough, there is also a Coin Rush mode where you’ll need to you to complete three random levels back-to-back with just one life.
Hit the court in Mario Tennis Open
Summer may seem like a million miles away, but the stars of The Mushroom Kingdom have always got time for a game, set or indeed match in Mario Tennis Open on the Nintendo 3DS and Nintendo 3DS XL. You can choose from up to 24 playable characters, each with their own special skills and abilities. If, on the other hand, you want to personalise your play, why not use your own Mii character to challenge for the championship?
This year looks set to be a great year for Nintendo 3DS, Nintendo 3DS XL and the all-new Wii U home console – with a whole host of releases heading to all platforms.
