Shock News: Budweiser ‘waters down its beers’: Pope wears funny hat: Jordan sleeps on back
SHOCK of shocks: Anheuser-Busch is accused of watering down its beer. That company produces Budweiser, the coloured water sold by the bottle and pint.
(Fact! One famous US politician worried about failing a drink-driving text swapped a pot of flat Budweiser for his urine sample. He passed!)
Some Americans never did realise that Bud tastes like sticky water. They’re suing Anheuser-Busch for £5million. Lawsuits filed in many states, including, Pennsylvania and California and other states, claim the alcohol content was misleading.
Anheuser-Busch InBev says that is “completely false”. They say, “Our beers are in full compliance with labelling laws.”
Not so, says lawyer Josh Boxer:
“Our information comes from former employees at Anheuser-Busch, who have informed us that, as a matter of corporate practice, all of their products mentioned [in the lawsuit] are watered down.”
The claim says, “Anheuser-Busch employs some of most sophisticated process control technology in the world to precisely monitor the alcohol content at the final stages of production, and then adds additional water to produce beers with significantly lower alcohol contents than is represented on the the labels.”
