Los Angeles to open ‘sex offender’ parks

by | 2nd, March 2013

WHY don’t the elite and the law makers rehouse sex offenders in the smarter parts of town, near to their homes?

When I read the headline “sex offender park”, I envisaged a park reserved for sex offenders, all their perversions catered for by fetishists and virtual reality.

The truth is also bizarre:

An unidentified man jogs in Harbor Gateway across an open piece of land where the city plans to open one the smallest parks in the area, Friday, March 1, 2013 in Los Angeles. The park will only hold two jungle gyms, benches and a brick wall. The city is spending $300,000 and residents chipped in $6,000 on the project, which is an effort by officials to force convicted sex offenders out of some neighborhoods by building small parks near their homes. State law prohibits sex offenders from living within 2,000 feet of a park or school. Officials say building the tiny parks in areas with large numbers of sex offenders will force dozens of them to move. (AP Photo/Damian Dovarganes)

Or why not build more schools?
