Prince Charles drinking beer on the job – a career in pictures
PRINCE Charles might have scarfed the cherry brandy when he was a bairn, but as an adult Charles prefers the beer. It’s always a pint. It’s always served in full view of the photographers. Camilla, if she’s there, also has a pint. It’s nice work if you can get it. The lunchtime drink was once the mainstay of British working life. It’s gone, replaced by a smart water, coffee and packaged sandwiches consumed at your work pod. Cheers, ears:

The Prince of Wales samples a glass of Abbott's Ale beer, at St James's Palace, London. The Prince was receiving an award from the all-party Parliamentary Beer Group. * He was named 'Beer Drinker of the Year 2002', in recognition of his heading of the 'Pub is the Hub' campaign which aims to make the village pub remain a cornerstone of the local community.
