Face of the day: the Eurasian Eagle owlet at the National Aviary

FACE of the day: Handler Jenny Walsh places the female Eurasian Eagle owlet that hatched on March 13, 2013, on a table at the National Aviary on Monday, April 8, 2013, in Pittsburgh. The National Aviary says just over 50 of these birds that can reach 2 1/2 feet tall with a wing span of nearly 5 feet, are in accredited zoos in the United States. The aviary plans to put the young owl on exhibit for a couple hours a day starting on Wednesday April 10, 2013.
