Queen’s Diamond Jubilee jigsaw collapses like a Prince Andrew Jenga set
DAVE EVANS of Weymouth, Dorset, has created a handmade 40,000 piece wooden jigsaw. The puzzle features 33 images of the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee. On Wednesday lat, Mr Evans completed his task. He hung it on a wall. On Thursday he touched it. And the “whole thing just collapsed”. As luck has it, a camera was there to record the incident.
Says Evans:
“My first reaction was to say ‘worse things happen at sea’ because all the information had already been sent off to Guinness World Records. It’s one thing cutting the jigsaw but it’s totally another thing for it to dismantle itself. I suppose the interesting thing is how long it will take to reassemble. I expect it will take about four days.”
The video of the accident made it onto the local BBC news.
YouTube link.Mr Evans is surely in line for £250 from You’ve Been Framed, the comedy moments clips show. Mr Evans could invest his money in soem more wood and turn his hand to a life-size Prince Andrew Jenga or a House of Windsor chess set, in which which Prince Charles plays a piece unable to move forward until the Queen shuffles off…
