White jihadi plot to kill Prince Harry – homeless fraudster turns to Islam for free prison bed and food
IN “Jihad Brit in Harry kill plot”, the Sun reports on “a white Muslim convert” who “walked into a police station and told cops he was going to kill Prince Harry”.
Ashraf Islam made his chilling threat a day after the murder of soldier Lee Rigby in Woolwich, South London.
Islam, 30, is now facing ten years in jail after admitting threatening to kill soldier Harry, 28, who is third in line to the throne.
Islam has stood in the doc at Uxbridge Magistrates’ Court and pleaded guilty. He’s in custody awaiting sentencing.
The Sun adds that police allegedly found a laptop belonging to Islam “showing internet searches for kidnapping, guns and vans. His internet history is also said to show he had been on terrorist and firearms websites.”
Bearing in mind that Harry flies an Apache helicopter and is surrounded by armed protection officers with a licence to kill, Islam’s hopes of enacting his fantasy seem, well, fantastic. Enquiring minds may wonder why he told the police that he wanted to kill Harry. Is he mentally ill and crying for help before he commits a heinous crime? Or is he looking for free bed and board in prison?
Still, the Star chooses to lead with the story of this berk and his daydreams:

To recap: this jihadi never killed anyone. He’s not been “caged” He’s on remand. His plot was pretty much going into a police station and saying “I want to kill Prince Harry”. Why is this big news? Well, just like in the Sun, the Star emphasises the idiot’s skin tones:

It all sounds very dramatic and daring, Islam seized in a covert mission to unearth white jihadis. But Islam gave himself up. And he has no link to Lee Rigby’s killers. Although the Daily Mail states:

Back in the Star:
A source told the Daily Star Sunday the evidence was “overwhelming” that he was “of the terrorist type”. The searches on his computers left “no doubts” how serious the threat was, according to the source.
Serious? Does anyone think a white Muslim with a big wiry beard who converted to Islam whilst in prison for fraud and of no fixed abode was going to murder Harry?
