Striker hits post FOUR times
SOMETIMES, as a goalkeeper, you have to ride your luck in football. Well, one goalie had a cool time against a Greek striker as he hit the woodwork FOUR times with the same shot!
Egeas Plomariou was playing for the island of Lesvos against Papnikolis when he cracked a shot in from an angle to the right of the box.
The shot beat the goalkeeper pretty easily, and he must’ve thought it was a dead-cert. However, it hit the post, bounced up to the crossbar, onto the near post, and then rolled across the face of goal to hit the far post again, for one last time.
Agony.
The keeper showed more luck as, before the ball was cleared, there was a bit of a shove on an attacker in a bit of Jens Lehmann moment.
Have a look at the effort now. And no, that’s not a great playing surface at all.
