Saudi Arabia human rights jokers hunt for people who duct taped a child to the wall
WHO duct taped a child to a wall in Saudi Arabia? The hunt is on.
Surprisingly, Saudi Arabia has a Human Human Rights Commission, and it’s leading the search. Maatouq Al-Sharif works there. He says, “what happened to the child is violation of his right, and this is a criminal offence.” Sharif says the tapers need to be dealt with so that others may be “deterred”.
Chopping off a limb or three should do it.
He adds:
“Such behaviour has an impact on the child’s personality. This also promotes the culture of violence against children… the child has no power to defend himself, and there is a penalty for such acts even if it isn’t known to Saudis that such deeds are punishable. Parents do not own their children. Children have human rights.”
What the penalty is seems unclear. Maybe the child will be removed from their parents and brought up by a State which forbids all females from voting, and traveling, studying, or working without permission from their male guardians, locks people up without trial, discriminates against religious minorities, lashes men for wearing women’s clothes in private, and recently executed a man who was arrested for theft aged 15.
The parents of the child taped to the wall should present themselves as artists depicting the rest of their child’s life in this bastion of human rights…
