Transfer balls: Manchester United buy Barcelona’s Cesc Fabregas for three David Moyes
TRANSFER Balls: Will Manchester United buy Cesc Fabregas from Barcelona? Will Arsenal step in to scupper any bid for their former captain? Will David Moyes turn into Brendan Rodgers? Says Moyes:
“I needed it to be the David Moyes era now and I had to take David Moyes’ era and David Moyes’ time so that meant me taking some of my own people.”
How do you replace Alex Ferguson? With three David Moyes…
In other news, Sky Sports News says a “source close to Fabregas has told Sky Sports News that the player is considering his position having been given no assurances that he will be a regular starter next season”.
Another of the same unnamed source tells the BBC “Fabregas is not for sale. The president (Sandro Rosell) has been very clear with Man United.”
Or as the Belfast Telegraph says:
Barca DO want to sell Fabregas to Manchester United – the Old Trafford club wouldn’t have upped their bid to £30m without a little encouragement from Catalunya – but they want the player to jump rather than be pushed.
Such are the facts…
