Transfer balls: Manchester United and Plymouth offer Fabregas first-team football away from Barcelona
TRANSFER Balls: Why would Cesc Fabregas leaves Barcelona?
Gerardo Martino, Barcelona’s coach, says:
“Considering the club has already rejected two offers [for the player], I would guess it will reject a third. In other words, Fabregas will remain here.”
But why would he leave?
ESPN explains why Cesc could be off to Manchester United:
Fabregas [is] attracted by the lure of regular first-team football…
Footballer attracted by chance to play football! Pope likes churches! Katie Price sleeps on her back! Plymouth Argyle are prepared to guarantee Fabregas a place in the first team. Indeed, rumours are that he can pick his spot.
As Plymouth prepare to make that call, Barcelona vice-president Josep Maria Bartomeu adds:
“United’s interest for Cesc Fabregas is obvious, he’s a great player but it does not bother us. It does not matter what they offer us, we are not selling him.”
Got that? Two high-ranking Barcelona staffers say Cesc stays. To which the Sun reports on the same day:
MANCHESTER UNITED’S hopes of landing dream buy Cesc Fabregas dramatically improved last night.
Which they didn’t.
More transfer balls every day…
