Dekorta: Japanese trucker art lights up the skies (photos)
IN 1998, Tatsuki Masaru began taking photos of these mesmeric Japanese decorated trucks, lit up like mobile Las Vegas strips. Why do they do it?
One of the drivers who got friendly with told me: “At first, I never liked this job. But I had to love my job to live, so I started to decorate my truck.”
Dekotora, which literally means ‘decoration trucks’, is all the go.
