A Week’s Shopping In Different Countries (Photos)
PETER Menzel photographed a typical week’s shopping for families around the world. It’s an interesting project. But given the incessant harping on about too much fat and five-a-day, it’s possible the Western subjects tempered their shopping. If you knew everyone was going to peer into your fridge would you buy only beer and cabbage?
It’s also interesting to note the make-up of the typical family unit different parts of the world. (If you want a big family, eat the bananas.)
