Why Did A Thief Steal A Wheelchair Ramp From Liverpool’s Lime Street Station?
WHO stole a wheelchair ramp from platform nine of Liverpool’s Lime Street railway station? Police want to talk with the man in the picture above.
The man hailed a cab, which drove him to a pub in New Brighton, Merseyside.
PC Richard Melling tells us: “This is an extremely unusual theft in that it doesn’t appear to have been motivated by greed – it is extremely unlikely that the man would be able to sell on the ramp and make a profit from his criminal act. It is, however, a theft which impacts on the daily running of the station and seems designed to cause problems for other rail passengers. I am determined to trace the thief and am calling on anyone with information to come forward.”
Melling suggests that the thief’s intent is malicious? Far be it form Anorak to tell the police their job, but maybe he wanted the wheelchair ramp to use as a wheelchair ramp.
