Snoopy Island Rises Off The Coast Of Japan

THINGS that look like Cartoon characters: Japan’s Nishinoshima island looks a lot like Snoopy. The volcanic island has risen from the Pacific Ocean.
But it’s disappointing news for Charlie Brown. Japan’s chief government spokesman, Yoshihide Suga, says Snoopy Island is part of Greater Japan: “If it becomes an island, our country’s territorial waters will expand.”
