Transfer Balls: Arsenal Woo Fabregas Who Passes Chelsea Medical Twice
TRANSFER Balls with the Daily Fabregas – Anorak’s look at today’s reporting on the Barcelona player.
TalkSport cites the Daily Mirror:
Arsenal are passing up their right of first refusal to buy Fabregas back, as they feel they have greater priorities elsewhere…
That’s TalkSport, the organ that told its readers on June 5:
The Daily Star has other news:
EXCLUSIVE: Manchester United end hunt for ex-Arsenal man Cesc Fabregas
They only just stopped because on June 4, the Star reported:
Chelsea agree deal with Arsenal and Man United target Cesc Fabregas
And it really odd because in July 2013, the Daily Express said Fabregas had agreed to join United in a “secret meeting”.
The Telegraph says any deals can wait:
Chelsea confident of signing Cesc Fabregas from Barcelona for £27 million – Spain midfielder is likely to sign for the Blues during the World Cup and it is understood he will be offered £150,000 a week to go to Stamford Bridge
That’s cheap given that Metro told us a few days ago:
Chelsea to offer Cesc Fabregas £200,000-a-week to move to Stamford Bridge
The Mirror says all that’s needed now to close the deal is for Fabregas to undergo a medical. Although on June5, the Star told readers: “Arsenal and Man United target Cesc Fabregas passes medical at Chelsea.”
And finally on the web, CaughtOffisde reports:
Arsene Wenger in talks with former Gunners star as he looks to persuade midfielder into making Emirates Stadium return.
Such are the facts…
