Transfer Balls: Mario Balotelli Plays Joins Manchester United’s Hernandez In Newlook Arsenal Front 5
TRANSFER Balls: A round-up of Mario Balotelli news in the scoop-to-deadline mainstream media:
The Guardian has news:
‘Replaceable’ Mario Balotelli could leave Milan, says agent
Could. Maybe. Any other news?
Striker’s agent says: ‘Mario is sad, desperate’
And that’s someone on his side.
Milan vice-president Barbara Berlusconi says Balotelli is “replaceable”.
“Mario is sad, desperate,” Balotelli’s agent Mino Raiola told Gazzetta dello Sport. “… I want to respond to Barbara Berlusconi. If, for her, Mario is replaceable, she should set up a meeting in the club’s headquarters and we will find a solution, just as I am used to doing. I remember that Mario had other important offers. He is at Milan because of his heart.”
His heart? What balls. He played for Inter Milan before playing for AC Milan. And this photo suggests that he rather liked them:
So. What about Balotelli to Arsenal?
The Mirror says:
Mario Balotelli has opened the door on a move to Arsenal after his agent insisted he is ready to quit AC Milan.
The Express says:
Arsene Wenger wants TWO strikers – one of whom is likely to be QPR’s Lois Remy… And the other could be Mario Balotelli after the player’s agent has insisted the Italy striker IS prepared to leave AC Milan for Arsenal this summer.
Given that this is Transfer Balls – a look at no news presnted as fact – we take our hats off to the Express. Having said Remy and Balotelli are Arsenal’s, the paper adds in a new story:
Arsenal are still considering whether to pay Jackson Martinez’s £35m release clause to trump Chelsea, Liverpool, Manchester United and Tottenham….Tottenham now lead the chase for Manchester United wantaway striker Javier Hernandez after Inter Milan pull out of the race, with Arsenal also interested.
What about Remy being a “likely” purchase? What about Balotelli?
Regular readers will recalls that Balotelli will sign for Arsaenal by July 10, and that the Gunners bought the Italian for £25m and £27m last week.
More balls every day…
