WHY is this a crime? The Express and Echo reports:
A FENITON man possessed hundreds of images and videos showing a person having sex with various live animals – including a dog, horse, cow and pony. Richard Blackmore, 46, of Mount View, admitted seven charges when he appeared at Exeter Magistrates Court this week.
He pleaded guilty to possession of 425 still images and 16 movie images of extreme pornographic images between October 16 2013 and February 6 this year,
Revolting stuff. Not something anyone sane would want to collect. But why is it a crime?
This has elements of a thought crime. Blackmore was not in the pictures. He did not sexually abuse livestock. He just looked at phots of people who were. He was convicted for what the police and courts believed he felt. The disgusting pictures, perhps harvested for personal gratification, are evidence. They are not proof.
