Regular readers of Transfer Balls may recall the Daily Mail’s story of 2011, in which readers wer told that Poldi was on his way to Spurs:
Tottenham are considering a move for Germany international Lukas Podolski after admitting defeat in the fight to keep Emmanuel Adebayor at White Hart Lane on a permanent basis.
Fast forward a few years and Poldolski is a Gooner and Adebyaor is a full-time Spurite.
Thankfully, this latest bout of Transfer Balls has been put to bed by the player himself.
Podolski is not playing much for Arsenal these days, but the affable German knows how to endear hismelf to the club’s fans. Perhaps a future as Gunnersaurus awaits…
