Change: Manchester Police Admonish Ed Miliband For Given Money to A Beggar
Ed Miliband was on Manchester’s Mosley Street. The Labour Party leader who bangs on about change dropped a few pence into a woman’s cup.
GMP officer, Inspector Phil Spurgeon, of the @GMPCityCentre Twitter account, tweets:
“Insp S – it’s a crime under Vagrancy Act & we always urge public to donate to charities not beggars.”
Begging is illegal under the Vagrancy Act of 1824.
