WHY did weeping Gemma Collins quit the I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here! jungle? The Sun knows:

DEVASTATED Gemma Collins last night revealed her four days in the jungle had been haunted by the memory of her bitter break-up with her boyfriend. The Towie star — who dramatically quit I’m A Celebrity yesterday — admitted she was struggling to cope after the bust-up with Alex Moss hours before flying to Australia.

Collins is the star of fly in the Touche Eclat reality TV show The Only Way is Essex. Weren’t the clues of the break up on the show?

Gemma tearfully told The Sun: “The jungle was harder than I ever expected, I am just not as strong as I thought I was. A personal and very serious incident that happened to me hours before I flew to Australia affected me in camp far more than I could have imagined and I just couldn’t carry on in there. It was my decision to go in regardless and I never expected not to complete my time in there. I am so, so sorry that I have let people down, but I had to make the decision to walk away.”

ISIS fighters undergo a more stringent mental health check than IACGMOH contestants.

She told The Sun: “I was very hungry in there. But when Craig Charles spoke about starving children it put it into perspective for me.”

Viewers heard Gemma Collins say:

“I cannot go another day in here. It’s ridiculous, it’s put me off TV for life.”

Is this the way to get people off the telly? Can Noel Edmonds be picked? What about Michael Parkinson or Fiona Phillips? Feel free to add your own favourites to the list of people you’d behappy never to see on the telly again.

ITV has lost a celebrity who was entertianing. It makes do with “Six things we learnt from Gemma Collins”:

1. Not all celebrities like helicoptors

That’s number 1. Not too shabby for a £40,000 investment.
