Girl who sat on Jesus’ lap in Heaven becomes Christian book star

Annabel Beam story is told in Miracles From Heaven. Annabel Beam is the 12-year-old schoolgirl who met Jesus Christ. No, not in a different life; in this one back in 2012.
Three years ago Annabel was playing with friends by her Texas home. She fell 30 feet inside a hollowed-out cottonwood tree. She survived. She said that while in the tree she had sat on Jesus’s lap.
“I remember it was really bright and I saw my Mimi (grandmother) who had died a couple of years back, and that’s how I knew that I was in heaven… And I asked Jesus if I could stay and He said: ‘No Annabel, I have plans for you on Earth that you cannot fulfill in heaven.’ Then he said whenever the firefighters get you out there will be nothing wrong with you.”
What’s more, according to the Christian Post, Jesus cured Annabel’s pseudo-obstruction motility disorder and antral hypomotility disorder.
Are you doubting her story?
“… We believe that I was healed in the tree. I’m completely healthy [now] and I can eat whatever I want. I want people to realize that no matter how bad things get, don’t ever lose that faith because He has a plan … you have to stay faithful and have hope because those are the things that will get you through whatever you’re going through, no matter what it is.”
Christy Beam is Annable’s mother. She belives her daughter:
“I don’t know that I ever really did [overcome]. I remember when she told me ‘mommy I want to die and go to heaven and live with Jesus where there’s no more pain.’ I remember thinking, ‘don’t you do it, don’t you take her.’ And then when she fell in the tree, I remember the reality hitting me and thinking, ‘not now, not here, not this way … don’t take her.’ So I don’t know that I ever really did deal with the severity of it.”
And:
I talk in the book about how I had two miscarriages before we had Annabel. We continued trying — we had faith — because we believed God was going to bless us and that we would be able to have another child. Annabel was that child.
One of the miscarriages, I want to point out, was never a life created. It’s called a blighted ovum. The other was a life that was miscarried. So I find it intriguing that when Annabel talks about going to heaven, she says she saw a little girl and asked who that girl was. And Jesus told her, “That’s your sister.”
I find that interesting because Anna knew I had two miscarriages, but I had never explained that one was a baby and one was not. But Annabel didn’t come back saying, “I saw two little girls.” She says she saw just the one. That made my mouth drop open.
Christy wrote the aforesaid book. Is she a new convert to Christianity, believing since her daughter’s story? No. She and her family are members of the Alsbury Baptist Church.

Believers’ belief saves child. So goes the story.
But we’ve been her before, or, rather, a child has been there before. Remember four-year-old Colton Burpo? He was in hospital when he went to Heaven in 2003.
In 2010, deadline reported:

Burpo is a small town Nebraska pastor whose four-year old son, Colton, nearly died during an emergency appendectomy operation. As he recovered, Colton began telling his family that he went to Heaven, actually looking down at the doctors operating on him and his family praying in the waiting room. And he slowly began telling them details about his miscarried sister, and his long-dead grandfather, none of which he should have known about. He then revealed to his family what it was like during his visit in Heaven, before he was sent back to his family.
Colton talked about his trip over “conversations” with his father. These chats became more detailed as time went on. Colton saw God. And he saw the future:
“there’s going to be a war, and it’s going to destroy this world. Jesus and the angels and the good people are going to fight against Satan and the monsters and the bad people. I saw it.”
…”in heaven, the women and the children got to stand back and watch… But the men, they had to fight. And Dad. I watched you. You have to fight too.”
Todd Burpo will fight with a “bow and arrow”. The Coltons’ local newspaper added:
In an interview this week, Todd Burpo said he has no doubt his son made the heavenly visit. While Todd, pastor of Imperial’s Crossroads Wesleyan Church, says he and wife Sonja originally weren’t sure about it, he is now.
“I am 100% convinced he was in heaven,” he said.
…He believes God had a part in the encouragement they had from a pastor friend to write the book. That friend, Phil McCallum, made some introductions and introduced them to the right people, Todd said.
It eventually led to the book deal with Thomas Nelson of Nashville, a 200-year-old company that publishes a lot of Christian books.
He worked with author Lynn Vincent, who most recently collaborated with Sarah Palin on her book, “Going Rogue: An American Life.”
