But there is no maybe about any of it. In February 2017, the BBC told us Rooney was staying.

And before that, back on November 5 2016, the Observer told us Rooney was saying at Old Trafford:

Wayne Rooney is determined to stay at Manchester United until his contract ends in summer 2019 despite losing his place in the first team.

Rooney’s not going anywhere.
