William Ayers Would Have Lost Obama the Black Gay Vote

by | 10th, November 2008

BARACK Obama Watch: IN the Montreal Gazette, Barack Obama’s old mucker “former student radical William Ayers tells what it was like to be painted as a symbol of evil by McCain and Palin”.

Says he:

The good news was that every time McCain or Palin mentioned my name, they lost a point or two in the polls. The cartoon invented to hurt Obama was now poking holes in the rapidly sinking McCain-Palin ship.

Every time Palin and McCain mentioned William Ayers they lost a couple of points. So, in a way, William Ayers won the election, what with him being the big issue.

Good job big media investigated the relationship between Obama and Ayres thoroughly. Remember all that 60s idealism, Bill? Can you remember? Hey, does anyone?

McCain and Palin – or as the late Studs Terkel put it, “Joe McCarthy in drag”- would like to bury the ’60s. The ’60s, after all, were a time of rejecting obedience and conformity in favour of initiative and courage. The ’60s pushed us to a deeper appreciation of the humanity of every human being. And that is the threat it poses to the right wing, hence the attacks and all the guilt by association.

You can feel the love as Ayers says:

”I don’t regret setting bombs. I feel we didn’t do enough.”

As he said in his memoirs:

”Is this, then, the truth? Not exactly. Although it feels entirely honest to me.”

Obama never really mentioned Ayers. Well, had he done, he might have lost some votes. You know, black voters sure hates those pooftas and their gay marriages. They want them banned:

(A)n overwhelming number – 70 percent – of black voters in California … voted for Proposition 8 and helped secure its passage, according to exit polling conducted by Edison Media Research and Mitofsky International.

African Americans, energized by Barack Obama’s presidential bid, boosted their numbers at the polls this year to 10 percent of the state’s electorate, up from 6 percent in 2004.

“The Obama people were thrilled to turn out high percentages of African Americans, but (Proposition 8) literally wouldn’t have passed without those voters,” said Gary Dietrich, president of Citizen Voice, a nonpartisan voter awareness organization.

So back to Ayers, who is still remembering:

He also writes about the Weathermen’s sexual experimentation as they tried to ”smash monogamy.” The Weathermen were ”an army of lovers,” he says, and describes having had different sexual partners, including his best male friend.

You don’t think he and Obama… No. No! Nooooooooooooo! Imagine the votes…

Picture: That Bill Ayres tattoo in full…
