Ran the show for Everton in the last couple of seasons, but now has the look of a man desperate for a phone call from one of the big four.

Thought that a move from the grim north-west to glamorous north London (ahem) would be good for his career. So far, the opposite has happened.

Touted as a Chelsea target last season, when he was excellent for Rovers, but didn’t get his dream move and since then he’s sulked about it, causing an obvious loss of form.

After the Real Madrid transfer saga, which he played no small part in, C-Ron is no longer adored by the Old Trafford faithful – it has clearly affected his dancing feet.
4. Carlos Tevez (Man Utd)
Brilliant at West Ham and very good in his first season at United. But things haven’t gone well for the Argentine this season. Dimitar Berbatov is the new teacher’s pet, while Tevez has warmed the bench more often than not. Rumours suggest he’ll be off to Real Madrid in the summer.
3. Heurelho Gomes (Spurs)
At PSV he was hailed as the best keeper in the word. Yes, seriously. Now he’s hailed as one of the worst keepers in the history of English football. Must be a confidence thing.
2. Tim Cahill (Everton)
Like team-mate Arteta, Cahill has suffered from an alarming loss of form. The brash Aussie has had injuries to deal with, but he’s not the major influence at Goodison he was before the 2006 World Cup.
1. Cesc Fabregas (Arsenal)
Brilliant last season, indifferent this. Perhaps it’s unfair for him to be at No.1 – he is ony 21, after all – but the loss of form is blatant. Like Torres, could be suffering from a post-Euro 2008 malaise. Either that, or having to share a dressing room with fine men like Billy Gallas and Robin van Persie.
