42 British Women Try To Break World Bikini Record, In Pictures

7660643IN Southend-on-Sea, Essex, 42 women are trying to break the world record for the number of women being photographed wearing bikinis in one place.

The current record is held by Russian women – 1,923 of them. Not all of them were lap dancers or gangsters molls sporting bikinis beneath thin black leather trench coats. A couple were actually on their way to the municipal baths. One had no other clothes.

Says British bikini campaigner Debbie Reynolds:

“It made be feel pretty embarrassed to be British when we can’t even mount a decent challenge.”

But this is not the case.

Anorak leant that the Solihull Spotters.com, in partnership with the unofficial Daily Star Page 3 Tag-Team Collective, have been walking along cliff tops and promenades all summer on the trawl for women in bikinis, often photographing them with camera phones and huge telephoto zoom lenses.

The Daily Star boys would have confirmed he new world record on Brighton beach in early June but for one model bather’s gigantic Jordans which obliterated from view the other 1,923 women. Armani from Basildon is an enemy to the British sense of fair play.
