Al Goreans Sell Inconvenient Truth Sequel As The Bible Code

gore_fallGLOBAL warming is no longer the terror it once was. Even rebranding it as climate change is not having the desired efect. What we need is a religious approach. Al Gore is on it.

George Monbiot tells us:

There is no point in denying it: we’re losing. Climate change denial is spreading like a contagious disease. It exists in a sphere which cannot be reached by evidence or reasoned argument; any attempt to draw attention to scientific findings is greeted with furious invective. This sphere is expanding with astonishing speed.

What he means is that people are questioning the ideology of climate change. A new approcah is required:

Al’s Gore’s much-anticipated sequel to An Inconvenent Truth [sic]is published today, with an admission that facts alone will not persuade Americans to act on global warming and that appealing to their spiritual side is the way forward.

So much for the flawed science:

Instead, Gore tells Newsweek magazine in a pre-publication interview, that he has been adapting his fact-based message – now put out by hundreds of volunteers – to appeal to those who believe there is a moral or religious duty to protect the planet.

“I’ve done a Christian [-based] training program; I have a Muslim training program and a Jewish training program coming up, also a Hindu program coming up. I trained 200 Christian ministers and lay leaders here in Nashville in a version of the slide show that is filled with scriptural references. It’s probably my favourite version, but I don’t use it very often because it can come off as proselytising,” Gore tells Newsweek.

Who will save us from Al Gore and his Al Goreans. Knock. Knock. Who’s that the door? “Have you heard about the coming of the flood…”

Look out for Al Goreans martyrs floating down your street or gutter. And go give genrtously:

Gore’s latest call to action over climate change, Our Choice: a Plan to Solve the Climate Crisis, has prompted a debate about his involvement in firms investing in the new green economy that he promotes.

The New York Times points out that one company in which Gore invested, Silver Spring Networks, has contracts with utilities that last week received a combined subsidy of $560m (£340m) from the US energy department. The payments, part of a total $3.4bn handed out by the federal government to encourage the distribution of environmentally-friendly power, are likely to be handsomely recouped by Gore and his associates.

Spread the fear. Reap the whirlwind…
