Video: Police Use Riot Shields On Boars Hill
WITH the police to Boars Hill – oh, the irony – Oxford. That’s them using their riot shields and makeshift sledges.
A Mr Rick Latham spots the officers. He films them. Mr Latham is not beaten to a slush, labelled a paedo nor does he have his camera confiscated under the terms of anti-terrorism legislation. The cops don’t see him.
Mr Latham says the officers employed a “sense of humour”.
Supt Andrew Murray says:
“I have spoken to the officers concerned and reminded them in no uncertain terms that tobogganing on duty, on police equipment and at taxpayers’ expense is a very bad idea should they wish to progress under my command.”
He added that snow had “a habit of bringing out the child in all of us”.
