X Factor: What Really Happened At Cowell’s ‘Trashed’ Marbella Villa
X FACTOR news on the front page of the Star, Mirror and Sun is that that the wannabes have “trashed” Simon Cowell’s villa. The word “trashed” features in all three papers, and also in the Daily Mail. It is almost as if someone has used the word trashed in a press release.
To Marbella, scene of said trashing, where the £15,000-a-night villa housing the X Factor “stars” is being “trashed”. The Mirror tells readers that Cowell, who was at his own home in Marbella, had his sleep interrupted by “whooping”.
The contestants “trashed” the rented villa by drinking champagne and beers that had been placed in the fridge. They then went for a swim in the sea and got sand on a rug. The rug is worth £5,000. (Mirror).
How much does a rug cost?! Five grand! The Sun says it’s now worth £10,000.
The Star tells us:
“Hopefuls’ trash Si’s luxury pad.”
Well, no. It’s not his pad. Cowell lives somewhere else. This one was rented. Undaunted by facts, the Star’s Peter Dyke goes on:
“Simon Cowell’s £1million s Spanish villa has been trashed by a gang of boozed-up X Factor contestants.”
Such are the facts in the tabloids today…
